Within months, FIST had signed a worldwide recording contract with A&M Records which resulted in a world wide release of their second album Hot Spikes in 1980. During this period FIST was touring with Motorhead, Krocus, Triumph, Max Webster, Harlequin, etc. In the spring of 1980 FIST had garnered, along with producer George Semkiw of Amber Studios, Toronto, two Juno nominations for Best Production.

Fleet Street Canada and Thunder In Rock United States and Europe are the same album with different covers for each country. This was the band’s third album. Produced and engineered by Steve Vaughn, the album received worldwide airplay in 1981 that sales sustained a constant Top-10 status. This resulted in Fist going out on major concert tours with the very first “Monsters of Rock” which was comprised of Motorhead, Krokus and Molly Hatchet. Returning for headline and support dates in the United States, FIST also did their own headlining tours in Canada.

Fist’s fourth album, In the Red, was engineered and produced by world renowned producer Nick Blagona. Blagona produced numerous projects with artists such as Deep Purple, Rush, etc. In the Red was released worldwide in February of 1983. The single, “If I’m Not Loved”, generated enormous airplay in North America FIST toured Canada.

FIST’s fifth album, Danger Zone, was engineered by Peter Burns and produced by Ron Chenier. This album was released in Canada, United States and Europe. The singles were “Danger Zone”, “Muscle Gun”, and “Voices”.

After a six year sabbatical Fist recorded their sixth album titled Reign of Terror. Recorded in Ottawa, engineered and produced by Ron Chenier and Steve Turner, Reign of Terror was distributed world wide on Magada Int’l.

There was a Canadian tour and no US and European tour.

Bolted Door 2012 was released in Germany July 2012 on Hellion Records and after a long time off Fist reunited for one date at the Headbanger Open Air Concert in 2012.
